Mahdi the rejected Lord...

Explicit statements made in the Hadith of Islam prophesy that the Ummah of Muhammad (i.e. Muslims) are destined to reject Mahdi. (Mahdi is the first of two appearances to be made by the Lord in the day of resurrection.)

Why will this be? You may consider asking yourself, why would the response of people to the appearance of Mahdi be any different than the response of people to the appearance of Muhammad? Muhammad was rejected by his people when he first appeared. This is the pattern of religious history. Why would the appearance of Mahdi be any different? There are many possible reasons for this rejection.
