There will be a
DAY SCHOOL AT BRISTOL BAHA'I CENTRE
SUNDAY 18th SEPTEMBER
A group of Baha'is from Portishead and Clevedon have arranged a Day-School
at the Bristol Bahá'í Centre, 8 Church Road, Lawrence Hill BS5 9JA.
Directions by car: Follow the A4320 from Junction 3 of the M32. At the
Lawrence Hill roundabout, turn left on the A420. The Centre is on the right
hand side, just past Lawrence Hill railway station.
The day is entitled “The mission and station of Bahá'u'lláh” and will be
conducted by Viv and Rita Bartlett.
We will be learning from one of Baha'u'llah's most important works, the
'Book of Certitude'.
Time: 10.30am to 5pm
Cost: £7 including lunch
Please let us know by email to viv@vivcraig.freeserve.co.uk if you intend
to come, so that we know how many to prepare for.
Bahá’í After School club
Our after school club is for young people of all faiths and none.
The age group is 12-13. You are welcome to try it out once or twice and see if you like it.
We meet in the Quaker meeting hall, St Mary's Road Portishead from 3.40pm to 5.00pm on Wednesdays during term time, starting on September 15th We enjoy story-telling, creative work, discussion, drama, cooperative games, and this year we are following an activity-filled course called 'Drawing on the Power of the Word' that helps to develop confidence and the power of expression.

New Bahá’í children's class
The Portishead Bahá’í group is very happy to announce that we are now offering children's classes for ages 4 and above.
The classes will be on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 4.30pm. Children of any faith or none are welcome and can enjoy learning simple children's prayers, songs, stories, cooperative games and art activities suited to their age. The activities are varied and enjoyable for the children. The aim is to help them learn all the good qualities they need in life, such as courtesy, kindness, tolerance, generosity and fairness.
We welcome parents to come along and see if these classes are suitable for your children.
