Who is BCI?

BCI is an organization which provides free internet services and technical expertise to Bahá'í institutions worldwide through coordination, volunteer services, and economies of scale.

BCI began in 1996 as the initiative of Ben Norris, a Baha'i in Danville, California.  Under the sponsorship of the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Danville,  BCI has grown from just a few websites to sites sponsored by hundreds of Local, Regional, National and International Institutions of the Faith.  Mr. Norris managed BCI, with the help of a few volunteers, from it's beginning through 2004.  He remains available for consultation on issues of growth and development, but has given up an active management role in the organization.

Beginning in January, 2005, the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Fort Worth, Texas took over the task of sponsorship of BCI. Under the auspices of BCI, Bahá'ís donate their time, expertise, and resources to support the emergence of the Bahá'í Faith on the internet.

BCI is funded entirely through voluntary contributions from individual Bahá'ís and Bahá'í institutions.  For more information, see "Making contributions to BCI".
