On Pilgrimage -
bv Mandana Harrison
On Christmas
Eve my Mum and Dad and I went to Haifa in Israel on Pilgrimage. The
Shrines were very beautiful and the gardens were very pretty.
My favourite bit was visiting Bahá'u'lláh's Shrine in Bahji.
The weather was lovely and warm and there were
lots of stairs going down Mount Carmel. |
Dancing
for Charity
It’s a hectic
schedule for Farah and Hannah at the moment. Recently they danced in Hollywood -
the hotel in Benfleet that is - where £22,000 was raised for the Indian
Earthquake Fund in four hours.
In Bracknell in Berkshire people paid £15 for a dinner
and dance and the sisters have also been seen at venues as diverse as the Hilton
Hotel at Hyde Park and a school in Leytonstone. In Ilford they have danced at
the Ilford Town Hall and the Kenneth More Theatre.
In all, eighty children are involved in this project to
help those involved in the earthquake. They have been invited to Harrow by the
Mayor and are due to appear in Birmingham soon.
So our lovely dancers are appearing in more and more
parts of the country and doing wonderful work for those suffering in India. Poor
Yusuf now knows what it means to have stars in the family - he's a very busy
agent.
And
a future musician
| Elliott Prior began
learning the cello last September - a rather large instrument for him to stroll
into Ferraby Bahá’í School with. Since January he has had his own cello so
soon, as well as watching Lootfun sisters dance, we may be able to listen to a
Prior recital. |
