the Bahá'í Library, the International Teaching Center,
the Seat of the Universal House of Justice (center), the Center

At the bottom right are the paths that lead to the Shrine of the Báb.

Terraces above the Shrine of the Báb (under construction Oct.
1997). At the very top is the center to which tour buses will bring
visitors. Owing to the great beauty of the Bahá'í World Center project,
the Israeli government expects this to be the most visited place
by tourists upon its completion, hence the tour bus depot.

Carmel looking towards the Bay of Haifa You can see the breakwater towards the
top of the photo.

Landsat photo of the Bay of Haifa. You can see the Shrine of
the Báb in this view and the buildings of the Arc.
See the breakwater jutting out to far into the bay from the right of the point.
Very near to the left side of the breakwater, look down the photo and you will
see a thin vertical line. This is Ben Gurrion Ave and also the pathway of the
terraces up to the Shrine (very bright white spot on the photo). Just beneath
the Shrine on the photo (which is actually higher in elevation) is the arc of
the buildings forming the Bahá'í World Centre. There are hyperlinks on those
spots so if you are having trouble finding them, just hover over the photo with
your mouse pointer and you will find it.

Pathway to the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh in Bahjí, across the bay from Haifa, Israel.
Inside the windowed white building at the end of the pathway is
interred the remains of Bahá'u'lláh. To Bahá'ís, this is the most holy place on earth, the point to
which they turn during obligatory prayer. On the left you can see the mansion of Bahjí through the trees
where Bahá'u'lláh lived the latters years of His life.
