LangleyAdvance | Printed July 23, 2010

Kids ages 11 to 14 are invited to be part of an eco-camp Aug. 5-7.

The Bahai community of Langley is organizing the camp, working with the Langley Environmental Partners Society on a community project.

"The goal of this camp is to build better communities by empowering youth to be active agents of awareness and change in their immediate surroundings," explained organizer Boshra Rasti.

The participants will be helping on a storm drainage project, and learning about the natural environment through discussion, music, activities and more.

The camp takes place at the Timms Recreation Centre and is free to attend. Lunch is provided each day. Parents can sign up their kids in advance or find out more information by emailing bahai.langley@gmail.com.
